This film just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Coming off the heels of the much controversial announcement that Ben Affleck would be next actor to put on the cowl and cape as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, reports are surfacing that Bryan Cranston will be cast as villain Lex Luthor.

According to several reports, much like this Rolling Stone one, Bryan Cranston has been cast by Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. to play famed Superman villain Lex Luthor.   Cranston’s run as drug kingpin Walter White on Breaking Bad is ending this summer, which leaves Cranston free to commit to a long term franchise, such as a Batman/Superman/Justice League franchise.

According to Cosmic Book News, Cranston has signed a six-film deal with Warner Bros, which could include more appearances.  Think of Cranston’s deal much like Samuel L. Jackson’s deal with Marvel, however Cranston will get a larger role.   The same source states that Ben Affleck signed a deal that includes a 13 film contract with appearances.

Reportedly, the plan is to have Bruce Wayne assembling the Justice League in future films where Affleck will have some screen time.

Big, if true.
