‘Ant-Man’ test footage leaked

Last year at San Diego’s Comic Con – 2012 – director Edgar Wright unveiled some test footage from Disney’s long-awaited/longed for Marvel title Ant-Man.   Fans of the longtime Avenger have been clamoring for Marvel Studios to include the pint-sized superhero in their rotation for quite some time.  It’s precisely that reason fanboys squealed when we got our first glimpse at the character on screen last year.  However, Disney and Marvel both wanted to keep Ant-Man’s footage under wraps, at least until now.

The footage, kept secret until now, will be included in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase 1 box set due to release on Bluray next month.

Ant-Man is one of the original Marvel Avengers and has been re-characterized many times since his inception.  First he was Henry Pym – a scientist that invented a substance that allowed him to change his size.  Then Ant-Man was personified by characters Scott Lang and Eric O’Grady.  It’s not known whether or not Wright will use the original Pym in his film or one of his successor’s.

Ant-Man is due out in theaters on November 6, 2015.
