Critics Choice Awards winners announced

Posted: January 10, 2013 in Movies

Playing second fiddle to the Academy Award nominations that were announced this morning, the Critics Choice Awards are considered the most “splashy” of all the film awards handed out during this time.  One could also say they really don’t matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, however it’s the Critics Choice Awards that often draws attention to the greatness to those that fall by the wayside.  Such as the awesomeness of Skyfall or just how good John Hawkes was in The Sessions.  Sometimes, you need meaningless awards shows to remind you that there are often performances and films overlooked by the Academy big wigs.
