It’s a Wonderful Life is one of those staple Christmas movies that is mandatory viewing across the globe this time of the year.  It’s gotten so bad that the film comes on network television probably three times a year.  James Stewart stars as George Bailey, a man’s man with a wife and kids just working to pay his bills – running his own business. But when things start to go bad with his business George contemplates suicide.  However, before George can go through with it he meets an angel named Clarence who shows George what life would have been like without him.

It’s a heartwarming tale of being thankful for what you have in life and remembering that material possessions are not everything.  Cherish your life and your family.  I’ve seen this one so many times that I’ve grown tired of it but that’s not to say that it’s not one of the best holiday films around.

It’s considered a classic but it’s also outdated and could use a remake.  I know, shame on me for that.
