Charles Dickens’ timeless Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol, comes to life with Jim Henson’s muppets.  The year is 1992 and the muppets were at the height of popularity.

Classic characters such as Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, and Miss Piggy take on roles from Dickens’ tale telling the story of three lives that exist only in alternate universe’s and what would happen if Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge (played by the wonderful Michael Caine) was a different sort of man.  There have been dozens of versions of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol done over the years, from Patrick Stewart as Scrooge to Donald Duck to Jim Carey, however there hasn’t been a version as entertaining or as heartfelt as the muppets.

Certain story’s are mandatory viewing this time of year and certain story’s are just pure entertainment, The Muppet Christmas Carol is a little of both.
