Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue Pays Tribute To Your Favorite Character Actors

Every year the magazine Vanity Fair has a “Hollywood” issue and this year’s issue just so happens to pay homage to cinema’s best character actors.  What’s even better is that the magazine has put their feature online and made it interactive to boot!

Some of the actors the issue highlights, I will summarize below:

 

J.K. Simmons

Age: 57

Favorite Roles:

– J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man

– Agent Richards in Harsh Times

– Mac MacGuff in Juno

– CIA Supervisor in Burn After Reading

– Oswald Klaven in I Love You, Man

Little Known Fact:

– J.K. Simmons voices the Yellow M&M in M&M commercials.

 

Danny Trejo

Age: 67

Favorite Roles:

– Razor Charlie in From Dusk til Dawn

– Johnny “Johnny-23” Baca in Con Air

– Cucuy in Once Upon A Time In Mexico

– Machete in Machete

Little Known Fact:

– Trejo was initially brought on set for the movie Heat as an “armed robbery consultant” but later offered a role in the movie.

 

Richard Jenkins

Age: 64

Favorite Roles:

– Agent Boshane in Me, Myself, and Irene

– Nathaniel Fisher in Six Feet Under (TV)

– Frank Bascombe in Fun with Dick and Jane

– Walter in The Visitor

– Mr. Harper in Friends with Benefits

Little Known Fact:

– Jenkins was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2009 for his role in The Visitor.

 

Judy Greer

Age: 36

Favorite Roles:

– Erin the File Girl in What Women Want

– Penny in The Wedding Planner

– Lucy Wyman in 13 Going Ont 30

– Kitty Sanchez in Arrested Development (TV)

– Ginger Farley in Barry Munday

Little Known Fact:

– Studied dance in Russia for 10 years.
