Switchfoot – A Lesson In Underrated

Posted: January 15, 2012 in Music

Switchfoot has been around since the year of our Lord, 1996, and have been rocking my body since around 1999.  They’re one of those bands that has found their niche in music without selling out to mainstream media.  Take their first really big hit “The Beautiful Letdown”, which was also the name of their first album on a major record label.  The song was such a big hit for the Christian-Rock group that it set them up for the rest of their careers.  Christian-Rock would forever be changed.

Here are my favorite Switchfoot songs, a sort of “Greatest Hits” list:

The Beautiful Letdown (The Beautiful Letdown)

Dare You To Move (The Beautiful Letdown)

We Are One Tonight (Nothing Is Sound)

Yesterdays (Oh! Gravity)

Faust, Midas, and Myself (Oh! Gravity)

This Is Home (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Soundtrack)

Your Love Is A Song (Hello, Hurricane)

Dark Horses (Vice Verses)
